We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join Champions Travel, the leading official, premium sports & event ticketing/hospitality provider.  

Champions Travel has a diverse portfolio of options across many sports & events. Specialising in English Premier League Football, they also have official premium options across the Scottish Premier League, Women's Super League, the English Football League, La Liga & Serie A.  

The chosen candidate for the role will lead a team of 3 and will report to the senior management team. The person will be expected to establish good working relationships across all departments.

Responsibilities: 

  • Build brand strategy, positioning, messaging, and corresponding marketing tactics that drive brand goals & enhance sales and profitability for existing and new product launches.
  • Working hand in hand with all teams, drive business insights (through market research and competitive intelligence) that leads to a clear understanding of existing and future market dynamics.
  • Leveraging market research to understand opportunity spaces both for sales growth and for new products
  • Part of three-person team reporting to senior management with responsibility for leading the development of the marketing plan, calendar and monthly reporting and managing third party contractors  
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the brand, including but not limited to big idea development, branding, & events.
  • Use consumer data and analytics to ensure we are growing in the right way – delivering the right message, to the right consumers in the right moment by product and market.
  • Foster strong relationships and partnership with the Sales team, Contract acquisition, IT and Finance.
  • Demonstrate the ability to synthesize leadership feedback quickly, prioritise the need to iterate, and drive results with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Analysing data & producing KPIs that analyse the performance and effectiveness of media campaigns, across channels, including digital, search, email and social media to include management of a large Marketing budget.   
  • Input into website optimisation across content, functionalities, UX, SEO
  • Management of company’s online presence & social media channels, to include all content, campaigns, affiliate marketing and associated tasks.  

Requirements: 

  • Degree in Marketing or equivalent 3rd level qualification in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ performance-based marketing experience in measurable results driven.
  • Experience with Adwords, SEO, Display, Social platform marketing all advantageous.
  • Strong sport/football interest and knowledge of the business of sport a keen advantage.
  • Team Player with good communication, organisational and networking skills.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience a keen advantage.
  • Experience of scaling a business a clear advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail.
