This role is fully remote, with extensive travel required throughout the Republic of Ireland to build and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities: 

  • Identify and engage new business opportunities within the healthcare sector, including hospitals, clinics, care homes, and pharmacies.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and secure referrals.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, ensuring their recruitment needs are met with excellence.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to meet and exceed growth objectives.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitors, and new opportunities.
  • Provide regular performance reports and insights to senior management.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Create and deliver tailored proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring terms align with company goals.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop campaigns aimed at attracting new clients.
  • Work closely with internal sales teams to align business development efforts with broader strategies.
  • Mentor and support other team members, sharing best practices in business development. 

Requirements: 

  • 5+years of experience in business development within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry in Ireland.
  • A successful track record in client acquisition, revenue growth, and contract negotiation.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Irish healthcare system, including resourcing and personnel challenges and compliance requirements.
  • A strong network within the healthcare sector, including private and public organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, with a focus on creating win-win outcomes.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in presenting to diverse audiences.
  • A client-focused approach to building long-term professional relationships.
  • Ability to analyze market data and align strategies with emerging trends.
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Ireland for client meetings and events.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic industry environment.
