Example of an Art Worker Job Description

INTRODUCTION: 

  • Company overview: Founding vision, current state of affairs, size, relevant stats. 
  • Role mission: Goals, team, and resources to make it happen. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and produce high-quality artwork for various media, including print and digital.
  • Collaborate with designers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure artwork aligns with project goals and brand guidelines.
  • Prepare files for print production, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Retouch and manipulate images to meet design specifications.
  • Follow project timelines and manage workload to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain an organized archive of artwork files and assets.
  • Implement feedback and revisions to improve artwork quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve skills.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all artwork and materials.
  • Assist in the creation of layouts, mock-ups, and presentation materials.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  •  Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Experience with print production processes and preparing files for print.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback effectively.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  •  A portfolio demonstrating a range of design and artwork projects.
  •  Knowledge of digital design and production techniques.
  •  Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with motion graphics and video editing.
  • Familiarity with web design and development, including HTML/CSS.
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering software.
  • Understanding of branding and corporate identity design.
  • Experience working in an Agile or collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to create hand-drawn illustrations or artwork.
  •  Previous experience in packaging design.
  • Proficiency in additional design software such as CorelDRAW or Sketch.
  •  Participation in design competitions or exhibitions.
  •  Additional certifications or training in specialized design areas.
